After School Programs
FREE for youth ages 8-16 who are interested in physical activities, health and wellness, food and nutrition, arts and culture and a homework club.

News
As of November 1, 2011 Silver Birches After School Program will be closed and the After School Program will be re-located to Tweedsmuir Public School which is located on 176 Lakeshore Drive. We would like to thank everyone who made the After School Program a success at Silver Birches.
All After School Programs are now open and are in full swing. Come on in and check out the fun different activities that you can participate in!
After School Programs now accomodate youth ages 8-16. Youth 8-10 must be signed out by a parent and/or legal guardian. Youth ages 11-16 are able to sign in/sign out by themselves.
All After School Program locations will be closed when the schools are closed. Below is a list of dates:
- September 23, 2011 - P.D. Day
- October 10, 2011 - Statutory Holiday
- November 4, 2011 - P.D. Day
- December 23, 2011 - School dismisses 1 hour early, the After School Program locations will be open from 2:00pm-6:00pm.
- January 30, 2012 - P.D. Day
- February 21, 2012 - Statutory Holiday
- March 9, 2012 - School dismisses 1 hour early, the After School Program locations will be open from 2:00pm-6:00pm.
- All Sites will be closed for March Break and will re-open March 19, 2011. Have a safe and happy holiday!
- April 6, 2012 - Statutory Holiday
- April 16, 2012 - P.D. Day
- May 21, 2012 - Statutory Holiday
- June 11, 2012 - P.D. Day
The After School Program Offers:
- Homework assistance
- Fun physical activities like soccer, Ultimate Frisbee, Wii etc.
- Creative snacks and gain knowledge of the Canadian Food Guide
- Health & Wellness activities
- A chance to explore arts and culture throughout North Bay
Monday, Wednesdays and Fridays (3pm-6pm)

Each site/program can accommodate 30 participants; it will be based on first come first serve basis.
