Rink Attendant Multiple Vacancies

(Part-time Days, Evenings & Weekends)

The City of North Bay is accepting applications for the position of Rink Attendant.  Under the direction of an Arena Supervisor, the Rink Attendant will provide support to the Arena Maintenance Persons in the performance of their duties.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in keeping the dressing rooms cleaned after ice rentals
  • Assist with floods by pushing the nets out of the way of the Zamboni
  • Assist with cleaning the facilities at the end of the night
  • Assist with conversions to set-up for different events
  • Assist set-ups for various events
  • Other tasks as assigned

 Qualifications:

  • Experience in customer service
  • The ability to lift heavy objects
  • Working knowledge of arena operations is an asset
  • General maintenance and problem solving skills
  • Ability to work various hours
  • Ability to skate is an asset
  • Custodial experience preferred

Hours of work:

Scheduled shifts will be 3 to 10 hours in length.  Scheduled shifts will be between the hours of 7:00 am and 2:00 am.

Rate of Pay: $15.50 per hour plus vacation pay (with legislated increases in accordance with the Employment Standards Act)

Status: Non-Union Casual

Hours of work: As required/scheduled
