Request for copies of a by-law can be obtained by viewing our By-Laws page or by contacting the Clerk’s Office.


Committee(s) and Council meetings are held bi-weekly on Tuesday evenings and start at 6:30 p.m. If the meeting date is a statutory holiday, the meeting is held the next day.

From time to time, the Mayor may call a Special Meeting of Council. Those meetings will be noted on the City's Meetings, Agendas & Minutes page.

Meetings are open to the public and take place at City Hall – 2nd Floor, 200 McIntyre Street East in North Bay unless another location is identified in a published agenda.


Agendas for Council and Committee meetings are prepared prior to the meeting. The Agenda identifies presentations to Council and contain reports, the correspondence being dealt with at the meeting, draft resolutions, by-law readings and committee reports for adoption.

Regular meeting agendas are posted online on our Meetings, Agendas and Minutes page the Wednesday before the meeting.


Minutes of the Committee and Council meetings are available once ratified by Council at their next regularly scheduled meeting.

Until further notice Meetings of Committee and Council are conducted by way of electronic participation only.

Public presentations to Council have been reinstated via electronic participation until further notice. Please make your formal request as identified below. Any visual presentation (PowerPoint, etc.) must be submitted to the City Clerk by 10:00 a.m. on the Monday before a meeting to allow for the circulation to Council.
