North Bay, ON – Dec. 21, 2021 – The City of North Bay’s Event Hosting Program is accepting grant applications to help support not-for-profit conferences, meetings, sports tournaments and other special events that are planned for 2022.
The program, which supports community groups by providing funding to help offset event-hosting costs, is welcoming applications until Jan. 28, 2022. Program funding is available to help support events that result in a significant community impact and present the opportunity to showcase and promote North Bay.
Applications will be evaluated and scored by a Review Committee, consisting of representatives of North Bay & District Chamber of Commerce and the City’s Economic Development and Community Development and Growth departments. A scoring system will be used to determine the impact of the event on the community and help guide the Committee in determining the funding status of each application.
It is important to note that applications received after the Jan. 28th deadline will only be considered if there are remaining program funds. All interested groups are encouraged to apply.
