North Bay, ON – March 20, 2020 – North Bay City Council will convene later today for a meeting where members will vote on the implementation of measures aimed at helping residents through the COVID-19 outbreak.
This is an Emergency Meeting of Council called by the Mayor under Section 9 of the City of North Bay’s Procedural Bylaw 2019-80. It will take place at 2:30 p.m. today, Friday, March 20, 2020.
If the proposed measures are approved, senior administration would be granted authority to take action, where necessary, on certain acts during a provincially declared emergency. Such actions may include waiving interest and penalties for billings and adjusting due dates.
