Nominations may be made by completing and filing in the office of the City Clerk, nominations on the prescribed form and accompanied by the prescribed filing fee of $200 for the Head of Council and $100 for all other offices. The filing fee is only payable by debit, cash, certified cheque or money order made payable to the City of North Bay.
The Candidate’s Nomination Paper (excluding School Board Trustee candidates) must be accompanied by an Endorsement of Nomination signed by 25 eligible voters supporting the nomination. The individuals providing signatures must sign a declaration stating they are eligible to vote in the municipality on the day they signed the endorsement.
A nomination must be signed by the candidate and may be filed in person or by any agent, during regular business hours between May 2nd, 2022 and August 18th, 2022, and between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. on Friday, August 19th, 2022 (Nomination Day).
A nomination must be certified by the City Clerk before such person becomes a certified candidate for the office to which she or he is nominated.
Election documents are prohibited from being filed by fax.
PLEASE NOTE: CANDIDATES CANNOT ACCEPT CONTRIBUTIONS NOR SPEND FUNDS UNTIL THEY ARE REGISTERED WITH THE CITY CLERK.

Les mises en candidature peuvent être complétées sur les formulaires règlementaires et déposées au bureau de la greffière municipale et elles doivent être accompagnées du coût forfaitaire de 200$ pour le chef du conseil et de 100$ pour tous les autres postes. La taxe de dépôt est payable seulement en débit, argent comptant, ou au moyen d’un chèque certifié ou d’un mandat postal libellé à l’ordre de la ville de North Bay.
Les mises en candidature (sauf pour les personnes candidates à un poste au sein d’un conseil scolaire) doivent être accompagnées par le formulaire d’appui de la déclaration de candidature signé par 25 personnes. En plus du formulaire, ces personnes devront également signer une déclaration attestant qu’ills/elles ont le droit de voter dans la municipalité le jour où ills/elles signent le formulaire d’appui.
Une mise en candidature doit être signée par le\la candidat(e) et peut être déposée en personne ou par un agent pendant les heures régulières d’ouverture entre le 2 mai 2022 et le 18 août 2022 et entre 9 h et 14 h le vendredi, 19 août 2022 (le jour des déclarations de candidatures).
Une mise en candidature doit être homologuée par la Greffière municipale avant que le\la candidat(e) soit accrédité pour le poste auquel il/elle est sélectionné.
Il est interdit d’envoyer les documents d’élections par télécopieur.
VEUILLEZ NOTER: LES CANDIDATS NE PEUVENT PAS ACCEPTER DES CONTRIBUTIONS NI DÉPENSER DES FONDS AVANT D’ÊTRE ACCRÉDITÉS AUPRÈS DE LA GREFFIÈRE MUNICIPALE.
