  • Closure: Widdifield Station Road
    North Bay, ON – April 14, 2022 –  Please be advised that a section of Widdifield Station Road has been closed effective immediately between 2601 and 3700 due to road flooding from the Little North River.  The Roads Department will be monitoring over the Easter weekend and will re-open the road if the flooding recedes.

  • North Bay Council approves City’s 2022 budget
    North Bay, ON – Jan. 12, 2022 – North Bay Council has approved the City’s 2022 budget. The approved budget includes inflationary increases, addresses contractual labour increases and reflects the continued impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on municipal finances, including lost revenues. The budget is comprised of two components: operating and capital.
  • New Garbage Bag Limits
    North Bay, ON – Dec. 30, 2021 – The City of North Bay would like to remind residents that as of Jan. 1, 2022 the weekly garbage limit will change to two bags/containers household per week instead of three.
  • Families First Fireworks Display Cancelled
    North Bay, ON – Dec. 27, 2021 – The North Bay’s Families First fireworks display planned for New Year’s Eve has been cancelled due to reduced social gathering limits for indoor and outdoor settings and a rising number of cases of COVID-19 in the community and across the province.
  • Memorial Gardens hosting vaccine clinics during holidays
    North Bay, ON – Dec. 21, 2021 – Memorial Gardens will host COVID-19 mass immunization clinics for four days starting Dec. 27 as part of the North Bay Parry Sound District Health Unit’s effort to increase first and second doses and accelerate booster rollout in the community.
  • City preparing outdoor rinks and new winter walking trail
    North Bay, ON – Dec. 22, 2021 – City crews are busy preparing outdoor ice rinks for the season. A total of 10 outdoor rinks will be maintained this winter including the Lee Park Skating Trail, which will have an added loop that will expand the length of the trail to a full kilometre. Circle Lake Rink will be closed this season due to construction.
  • Applications open for Event Hosting Program
    North Bay, ON – Dec. 21, 2021 – The City of North Bay’s Event Hosting Program is accepting grant applications to help support not-for-profit conferences, meetings, sports tournaments and other special events that are planned for 2022.
  • New Arena Capacity Limits
    North Bay, ON – Dec. 18, 2021 - New capacity limits will be implemented at City arenas starting Sunday, Dec. 19, 2021 as a result of the latest measures announced by the province to help slow transmission of the Omicron variant.
