North Bay, ON – May 21, 2021 – The City of North Bay is preparing to open sports fields and some other outdoor amenities following the provincial announcement Thursday that certain recreational activities will be permitted as of Saturday, May 22.
In North Bay, this includes the following amenities
- Sports fields (casual play only)
- Tennis/pickleball/volleyball courts (casual play only)
- Skate park
- Waterfront Marina
- Public washrooms (Marina, Lee Park, Marathon Beach, Champlain Park, Sunset Park)
Gatherings of up to five people from different households are permitted outdoors under the provincial orders; and physical distancing of at least a two metre/six feet from those you don’t live with is still required.
Playgrounds, parks, green space, trails and pathways remain open, as well as boat launches and beaches.
