October 7, 2021 – Expectations were exceeded with a total of 3,229 pounds of food and $4,083.55 collected Wednesday at the annual ‘Fill a Fire Truck with Food’ fundraiser at Parker’s Your Independent Grocer.
Fire Prevention Officer Chris Nichol said “the generosity of our community is tremendous and North Bay Fire & Emergency Services looks forward each year to this annual event to help such a worthwhile cause while promoting Fire Prevention Week.”
This year’s theme, “Learn the Sounds of Fire Safety” encourages North Bay to “GET LOUD” and test their smoke and CO alarms. Shout out to Parker’s Your Independent Grocer for their continued support and Debbie Marson and volunteers at the North Bay Food Bank for the tireless service they provide.
