Public workshop: help design North Bay's All-Wheel Park

North Bay, ON – Sept. 13, 2023 — The City of North Bay invites all members of the community to participate in the first of three workshops to learn more about the All-Wheel Park planned for the Downtown Waterfront area and to contribute input into its design.

The All-Wheel Park, which will feature a skatepark and pump track, will be located adjacent to the Multi-Use Courts near the City's Peter Reid Transit Terminal.

The workshop will be held at the North Bay Museum on Thursday, Sept. 21, 2023, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., and will be led by New Line Skateparks Inc., the company awarded the contract to design and construct the facility.

The design phase of this project will span the next several months, with construction scheduled to commence in the spring.

The feedback received during these workshops will be used to help New Line finalize the preferred design. In addition to the workshops, residents and stakeholders will also have the opportunity to provide input through an online survey that will be launched alongside the workshop.

Guided by consultations held during the creation of the Downtown Waterfront Master Plan and the City’s Parks Master Plan, the project is expected to cost approximately $1.6 million. It is being supported by the Northern Ontario Heritage Fund Corporation (NOHFC), which is providing $801,198, as well as the Kiwanis Club of Nipissing, which is contributing $100,000.

We encourage all community members to attend this workshop, share their ideas, and actively participate in shaping the future of the All-Wheel Park.
