The opening of the rinks is dependent on the weather. In order to form a base from which staff can flood, we require a significant amount of snow that contains more moisture in order to pack them, followed by considerably cold weather (-10C or below) for at least a week. Staff constantly monitor the weather conditions and when they are favourable, they try to flood the outdoor rinks.
- Outdoor rinks are not supervised by City Staff. The lights automatically turn off at 11PM.
- Due to COVID-19, the buildings will remain closed and permits will not be issued for the 2021/22 season.
- All users are encouraged to assist with shoveling the ice.
- Capacity on rinks and hills is limited to 25 people at time.

- Face coverings are mandatory at all times, on and off rinks and hills.
- Skaters and sliders must maintain a physical distance of 2 metres (6 ft) both on and off rinks and hills and should only have close contact with people in their household or essential supports.

- Change rooms and washrooms are not available.
- Stay home if you are ill and getting tested if you have symptoms of COVID-19.
