Agencies, Boards and Commissions

North Bay, ON – Oct. 28, 2022 – Interested North Bay residents are invited to bring their skills and experience to the table and to help make a difference in the community by applying for a position on one of the City’s agencies, boards and commissions.

The term of office in most cases is four years, running concurrently with the term of Council. Applicants must be aged 18 or older. Appointments are on a volunteer basis only and no compensation will be paid. Proof of Covid-19 vaccination will be required as set out in City of North Bay Covid-19 policy.   

Citizen appointments are available for the following agencies, boards and commissions:

  • Cassellholme – East Nipissing Home for The Aged
  • Committee of Adjustment
  • Municipal Accessibility Advisory Committee
  • Municipal Heritage Committee
  • North Bay-Mattawa Conservation Authority
  • North Bay Parry Sound District Health Unit
  • North Bay Police Services Board
  • North Bay Public Library Board
  • Property Standards Committee
  • Waste Resources Liaison Committee
  • Public Art Advisory Committee


Those who are interested and eligible to serve on any of the above boards, committees or commissions, including those who currently serve and are seeking re-appointment, are asked to obtain an application form from the City’s website at Application for Appointment to ABC's , or in person from the City Clerk’s Department on the fifth floor of North Bay City Hall, located at 200 McIntyre Street E.

Completed applications can be submitted electronically or delivered in-person by Nov.4, 2022 to the City Clerk’s Department or mailed to:
